Dillard’s clients at SPD have included the Boston Consulting Group, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Flat World Education. Previously, she served on the management team at Quad Learning. She also helped start the National Math and Science Initiative and served in the Department of Education as a special advisor, where she was the youngest staff member of the secretary’s policy committee.  She worked on the Memphis City Schools and Shelby County Schools merger, the largest school district merger in US history. Dillard started her career at Bain & Company. She spent her summers in graduate school working in economic development for the minister of national planning and economic policy in Costa Rica and in Rwanda for the Africa Governance Initiative, part of the Office of Tony Blair. Dillard studied economics at Duke University as an A. B. Duke Scholar. She received her MPP from HKS and her MBA from Harvard Business School. At Harvard, she was a Reynolds Fellow and a George Fellow and now serves on the alumni advisory council of the Center for Public Leadership.
