Pippa Norris

Norris, along with two decades of teaching at Harvard, is also Laureate Fellow and Professor of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney. She is a political scientist focusing on democracy and development, public opinion and elections, political communications, and gender politics. She directs The Electoral Integrity Project, a multimillion-dollar project with a team based at Sydney and Harvard. A prolific author, she has published more than 40 books. Titles this year include Why Electoral Integrity Matters (CUP 2014), the first of a trilogy on this subject, Advancing Electoral Integrity (Ed, OUP 2014), and Comparing Democracies 4 (Ed, Sage 2014). She has served as director of democratic governance at the United Nations Development Program; on the executive committees of APSA, IPSA, and the PSA; and as a consultant to the UN, OSCE, IDEA, UNESCO, the Council of Europe, NED, and UNDP.
