Professor of the Practice of International Development
Professor Pritchett has worked on development as both researcher and practitioner across an array of fields. As a scholar he has written on economic growth, poverty reduction, basic education, health, social capital, migration and more. As a practitioner he has worked with the World Bank for 17 years, including stints living in Indonesia (two years) working on social safety nets and India (three years) working on local governance. He has also worked with philanthropic organizations (Google.org) and directly with governments.
